Mount Longonot
Hike to the rim of a dormant volcano for views of the Rift Valley, or around the crater.
About
The climb to the crater rim takes about an hour and a half and is steep in places. Once on top you can walk the full rim loop, which adds another two to three hours. Bring plenty of water and sun protection.
Local tip
Wear sturdy shoes. The loop has little shade.
