Giraffe Manor

A 1930s manor house where endangered Rothschild giraffes poke their heads through the dining-room windows.

About

Giraffe Manor is a small Safari Collection hotel in Lang'ata, set in 12 acres of forest beside the Giraffe Centre. Giraffes wander up to the house at breakfast and tea. It has very few rooms and fills months ahead, so plan early.

History

Built in the 1930s and later became the home of the founders of the Giraffe Centre conservation project.

Local tip

Day visitors cannot enter the manor. The nearby Giraffe Centre is a good alternative if you cannot get a room.
